This beautiful piece celebrates the kind of friendship that can grow stronger even when life takes people in different directions.

Two friends sit side by side, each created from natural stones with their own unique shapes, textures, colours, and markings—just as every person is shaped by the journey they’ve taken. Though their paths may have been different, they have found their way to the same place, together.

Beneath them is a truly beautiful piece of ornate, naturally weathered wood, full of ridges, curves, and character. I love the symbolism here: the wood itself looks like it has lived a journey of its own, while the stones resting upon it represent two people whose individual journeys have shaped who they are.

Nothing has been carved or altered to create the figures. Instead, I carefully selected each natural stone for what it already was—and somehow, they came together to tell this story.

Because true friendship doesn't require being together every day. Sometimes life takes us down different paths, but the right friendships remain.
