This gentle elephant is shaped entirely from shale stone, gathered along the shores of Lake Huron. Each curve and contour is nature’s own creation—unaltered, just as the waves and time have left it. His watchful eye is a piece of deep-blue sea glass, and before him grows a tender branch of green sea glass leaves, reaching toward him like a quiet offering.
