The Piano was inspired by those memories.

It's about more than a child learning an instrument. It's about the dreams we see in front of them, the confidence they build, the connections they make, and the way music can become part of their lives long after the lessons are over.

Made from Natural Materials

The young woman is created from naturally shaped Lake Huron shale, including the beautiful piece that forms her flowing hair. I loved the movement already present in the stone—it was almost as though the hair was waiting to be found.

The branch beside her incorporates sea glass from Argentina, chosen for its beautiful depth of colour, along with palm-leaf sheath.

I don't reshape the stones to make them fit.

I look for the stone that already has what I need.
